These consultations are designed for parents or caregivers only, allowing for an open conversation about your concerns without worrying about how your child might perceive the discussion. This format enables Dr. MurrayMetzger to provide candid feedback and recommendations.

The focused nature of the consultation makes it a cost-effective way to gain expert guidance. Depending on the questions we discuss and your insurance policy, these consultations may be covered as an Out of Network Service. In order to submit for reimbursement, we will need to list a tentative diagnosis on the superbill. If no there's no apparent diagnosis, or if the issues are educationally related (e.g. learning disabilities), your insurance company is unlikely to reimburse you for the consultation.

However, if an evaluation seems appropriate, Dr. MurrayMetzger can guide you toward the next steps, whether that's a screening, a comprehensive evaluation at Mind Matters, or a referral to another appropriate provider based on your child's specific needs.

Yes, all consultations are confidential, with the exceptions that apply to all mandated reporters. However, if you would like Dr. MurrayMetzger to communicate with your child's school, healthcare providers, or other professionals, she can do so with your written permission.
