Sara Rosenblum is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in providing comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents, with particular expertise in neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and school-age children.

Sara brings a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to her assessments, viewing each evaluation as an opportunity for discovery, enlightenment, and growth.

Working from a biopsychosocial model of human development, Sara considers the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors that influence a child's development and learning. Her therapeutic collaborative assessment approach actively involves clients throughout the process, jointly refining assessment questions and providing feedback progressively rather than only at the end.

Sara's thoughtful, calm, and patient demeanor creates a supportive environment where children—particularly those who have experienced trauma or who process the world differently—can feel safe and understood. Parents appreciate her clear explanations and compassionate communication, noting that she "has been great" and "helped explain every step along the way."

Beyond her core specialties, Sara assesses children experiencing depression, anxiety, and psychosis, with particular skill in working with preschool-aged children and those on the autism spectrum. Her experience spans the developmental lifespan, from young children to older adults, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how challenges may evolve over time.

What distinguishes Sara's work is her passionate commitment to disability rights and family advocacy. Having collaborated with school personnel across the Bay Area, she provides invaluable guidance to families navigating the IEP process, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to effectively advocate for their children. Parents have noted that they "will probably never go into another IEP meeting without an advocate" after experiencing her clear articulation, expertise, and kindness.

Sara writes accessible reports that translate complex findings into practical recommendations, communicating results thoughtfully and with compassion. Her aim is for each assessment to have a profound therapeutic impact that serves as a springboard for lasting positive change.

Outside of her clinical work, Sara can be found jogging through the hills of San Francisco, exploring the city's parks and playgrounds with her seven-year-old, celebrating Jewish traditions with family and friends, or visiting museums around the Bay. She also enjoys yoga, dancing, and dark chocolate.
